What is on your ipod? Don’t be bashful. If I can cop to owning Neil Diamond (three box sets, two live records and a one bootleg, thank you very much!) you can reveal what guilty pleasures lurk on your pod.

P.S. All I Need by Jack Wagner barely missed the cut for those wondering.

[…] I’m playing along with the ipod Shuffle Tuesday, wherein I hit shuffle and listed the first 21 songs that played. Here goes… Tim Easton - Goin Nowhere Fast Lucinda Williams - Side of the Road Anna Nalick - Wreck of the Day (yes, I am a Grey’s Anatomy music junkie) John Doe - Your Parade With Cindy Neko Case - Favorite Norah Jones - Don’t Know Why (my husband “don’t know why” I like this song) Pete Krebs - Shades of Midnight Blue Ron Sexsmith - Several Miles Jayhawks - Blue (oh how I love this song! gives me chills…) Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris - Love Hurts REM - Turn You Inside-Out Jayhawks - Sound of Lies Louie Armstrong - Skokiaan Sweetwater - Novocaine Girl (off the posthumous record my label put out no less) Dan Zanes - Pata Pata (gotta love Dan!) I’m very, very afraid of this exercise. It will no doubt expose me as a dork with laughable musical tastes. I’ll try it, but let’s hope to God that more of D’s music comes up than mine. Or it could be the end of my reputation forever.

    Back soon with my results…

Um. This could also be an exercise of which one of these is not like the other.

    Just sayin.

Looking again at your list, Herb, I’m liking the idea of Neil Diamond on a “hot August night.” What a recipe for some lovin’, eh? You should keep than in mind if you want to romance Mrs. Urban…um…in August.

So my list is over on my blog, including one selection that beats out Neil Diamond by a mile in humiliation factor. Go. Point. Laugh.

I only have Blue Rodeo, Duran Duran and chick music on my ipod, along with a dozen disney movies and every Dora episode….
BTW: BEST Blue Rodeo track of all time: Florida on Just Like a Vacation. And yes, I have been known to screem “Flooooooridaaaaaa” at the top of my lungs during concerts to get them to play it (it worked, once)
