Someone in Syria visited my site looking for this picture. There must be a major sock uprising in the Middle East going unreported. Arab youth are rejecting the sandals of their elders for the socks — and presumably shoes — of the West.
“They hate us for our footwear.” There is a line the Bushies have yet to trot out to defend their misguided GWOT. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are our allies?
Could I be reading too much into one hit? In reality, the true lesson here is dollar stores = democracy. Cheap disposable crap and ceramic Jesuses, not bombs will bring modernity and self governance to the Muslim masses.

There is a simply explanation. I was walking down the aisles of my local neighborhood Dollar Store (well, one of them since there are about thirty of them in a ten miles radius, all next door to a payday loan center oddly enough) and I was talking pictures with my cell phone to post on my blog. Hence the picture of socks on my blog. See? Bet you are glad you asked.
